Southlake is a sophisticated suburban city ranked as the #1 place to live in Tarrant County. This city combines classic Southern hospitality with fantastic Southlake style. Refined contemporary amenities include great shopping and dining in the walkable downtown district of Southlake Town Square and Park Village. Southlake takes its name from its location at the southern end of scenic Lake Grapevine. The city also offers access to plentiful outdoor recreation, including boating and other lake activities.

Southlake boasts some of the highest average household incomes in the DFW area. The city also offers some of the area’s finest public schools in the highly-rated Carroll Independent School District. Carroll Senior High School’s Carroll Dragons are State Champions in a variety of sports and a big source of local pride. Southlake residents enjoying cheering on their favorite athlete at local events throughout the season, including Dragon Football.

Balancing sophisticated living with a neighborly community, Southlake, Texas provides the perfect oasis from the frenzy of Dallas/Fort Worth. Legends Hall at The Marqis a central meeting place, event center, and members only club for fitness. Southlake Town Square features four blocks of restaurants and retailers in a gorgeous shopping precinct with tree-lined parks, luxury townhomes, and an inviting city square. The Square’s charming streets offer over 100 boutiques and specialty stores alongside more than two dozen eateries. Stores here include fashion brands such as Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Pottery Barn, Coach, Eddie Bauer, lululemon athletica, Michael Kors, Apple, Harkins Theatres, and Tesla with Southlake Tesla owners making up the highest level of concentration in Tarrant County. Other retailers include booksellers Barnes & Noble and upscale interior design store Williams-Sonoma. The Square’s Zagat-rated restaurant Brio Italian Grille serves sublime Tuscan cuisine with wines and cocktails. Other dining highlights include Truluck’s Seafood Steak and Crabhouse, The Cheesecake Factory, Mi Cocina, and prime steaks and seafood at Del Frisco’s Grille. There are many local gems dotted around Southlake outside the Square like AnaMia’s for authentic Tex-Mex, Mango’s for breakfast/brunch, the Feedstore for great BBQ, and more!
Things to Do
Bicentennial Park is a beautifully-landscaped green space surrounding a scenic fishing pond. Landmarks within the park include the Liberty Garden 9/11 memorial. Bicentennial Park offers lots of sports amenities, including 19 lighted hard courts at Southlake Tennis Center as well as baseball fields, courts for basketball and inline hockey, and a playground. On the southern shore of Lake Grapevine to the north, Bob Jones Parkcovers close to 500 acres. This sprawling natural space has miles of trails running through native Cross Timber woodlands as well as 13 soccer fields, a 6-acre fishing pond, and Boo Boo’s Buddies Dog Park. Lake Grapevine is a major recreation destination with launches for boating, water-skiing, and windsurfing. There are also many campsites and hiking and biking trails in the wilderness areas along the lakeshore. Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park is a great choice for children’s birthday parties.
