Colleyville is a dynamic community with the highest percentage of college graduates in Texas. State Highways 121, 183, and 360 provide convenient access to excellent employment opportunities throughout the DFW area. This is reflected in Colleyville’s high average household income, which the 2017 Census estimates at $207,438. Colleyville is located around 12 miles away from DFW International Airport and 16 miles from Downtown Fort Worth.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
Town Center Colleyville is the city’s main commercial hub with more than 30 restaurants, retailers, and services. Dining choices include Baja-style Mexican cuisine at Costa Vida, Salvadoran and Tex-Mex eats paired with mojitos and margaritas at Gloria’s Latin Cuisine, and fire-baked pizzas and flatbreads at RedBrick Pizza. Studio Movie Grill has eight movie screens with in-theater dining on American grilled eats as well as drinks from a full bar. Other Town Center tenants include gourmet grocery store Market Street. On the opposite side of the highway, Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop is a family-run favorite serving delicious specialties such as peanut butter cream pie and Southern buttermilk pie. South of Town Center Colleyville on the Grapevine Highway, Colleyville Downs offers more shopping and dining with retailers, including Whole Foods Market, Petco, and Ace Hardware. Zoe’s Kitchen serves flavorful Mediterranean cuisine in a laid-back setting while the rustic Red Barn Bar-B-Que offers generous plates of mouthwatering 100% pecan-smoked meats. Head to Red Barn Bar-B-Que on Friday nights to dine on all-you-can-eat catfish.
Things to Do
Colleyville stretches from Little Bear Creek in the south to Big Bear Creek in the north. The city offers lots of parks and sports facilities. McPherson Park occupies a former dairy farm in northern Colleyville, where an original log barn dating back to the late 19th century invites visitors to experience Colleyville’s agricultural past. Other amenities include hiking and biking trails, a playground, a splash pad, a tree farm, wildflower areas, and Lyman Whitaker wind sculptures. 5-acre Reagan Park in western Colleyville has lighted fields and batting cages for baseball and softball practice. 40-acre Colleyville City Park is the largest of Colleyville’s parks with a pond, an amphitheater, and trails. Its sports facilities include nine lighted baseball and softball fields and courts for tennis and basketball. Sprager Park on Little Bear Creek in southern Colleyville spans eight acres with playgrounds, picnic areas, and multi-use trails. Colleyville Nature Center offers 46 acres of picturesque scenery with 3.5 miles of trails, nine ponds, and a fishing pier. Just beyond Colleyville’s northern boundary with Southlake, Timarron Country Club has an 18-hole championship golf course that was named one of the best in the DFW area by Avid Golfer. You can practice your swing at the driving range at Bob Moore’s Sports Center in the heart of Colleyville.
